Scores on this site come from product data and a published formula. Hands-on tests are done by the people below, with their own tools and their own photos. A review says clearly which tool was tested and how.

Dinko Piz

Tester & contributor

Dinko Piz is a 48-year-old electrician who reaches for a multitool almost every working day, usually a Leatherman or a Victorinox. Pliers, screwdrivers, wire cutters and bit drivers are part of his daily work, so he judges a tool by how it handles real jobs, not by how it looks out of the box. Off the clock he camps and fishes.

For Multitools.net he puts each tool through the same repeatable tests: cutting zip ties, cardboard and wire, driving and loosening screws, gripping nuts, sawing wood, using the scissors, opening it one-handed, and carrying it in a pocket for several days. He takes his own photos in the field.
