About Multitools.net

Multitools.net is a database of pocket multitools and Swiss Army knives with a finder, side-by-side comparisons and rankings for different uses. It exists because most "best multitool" lists do not show their reasoning. Here every score comes from a published formula and data you can check.

Where the data comes from

Specifications come from the manufacturer and are checked against at least one independent source, such as a retailer listing or a published review. Products whose specs we cannot confirm stay out of the published rankings until we can. Each product page lists its sources and the date they were last checked.

We do not have every tool in hand, and we never write as if we had tested one. Strengths and trade-offs are worked out from the specifications and from comparison with similar tools. Where we have used a tool ourselves, the page says so.

How the site makes money

When you buy through a retailer link we may earn a commission. Commissions never enter the scoring formula and never change the order of products. Details are on the affiliate disclosure page.
